INGREDIENTS :
SPICED APPLES :
- 2 lbs. apples
- 3 Tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 Tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp ground ginger
- 1/8 tsp ground cloves
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
OAT TOPPING :
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup butter, room temperature
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
Directions :
Step 1 :
Preheat the roaster to 350ºF. Core and slice the apples into ¼- ½ inch wide
slices( peel, if asked ). Place the sliced apples in a large coliseum.
Step 2 :
In a small coliseum, combine the sugar, flour, cinnamon, gusto, and cloves
to season the apples. Sprinkle the admixture over the sliced apples and
dapple the vanilla excerpt over top. Stir the apples until they are
unevenly carpeted in spices.
Step 3 :
Next, make the oat beating. In a medium coliseum, stir together the flour,
oats, brown sugar, swab, and cinnamon. Cut the adulation into gobbets and
also use your hands to work it into the oat admixture until it's crispy and
appears sort of damp.
Step 4 :
Sprinkle the crispy oat admixture over the seasoned apples.
Transfer to the roaster and singe for 45 twinkles. Serve hot with ice
cream or whipped cream on top!
